How do I become a Member of the ALAA?
Pet Membership
If you are a Pet Owner of any Australian Labradoodle or Labradoodle and would like to join as an ALAA Pet Member:
- Gather the following information:
- A photo of your pet
- A pedigree of your pet IF you have one, you do not need one to be a pet member your dog MUST be spayed or neutered.
- If your dog was bred by an ALAA member breeder, your puppy transfer form, this is not necessary if you purchased your
pet elsewhere.
- Any documentation of your purchase, this can be rescue or SPCA paperwork, receipt of purchase, contract from your
breeder.
- Click on the ALAA Membership link button on the left side of the website
- Fill in the information requested and pay online with paypal the $30 LIFETIME membership fee
- At the end of the online application you will need to fax the paperwork listed above to the dog registrar at
309-418-9916 with your name and the dogs’ name. Email the photo to dogs@ilainc.com.
- All this must be submitted within 30 days of your application or you must resubmit your application. Once your application has been processed and all forms received and accepted by the dog registrar you are a pet member.
- You will receive your registration certificate in the mail and have access to our ALAA database and receive ALAA newsletters.
ALAA Breeder Membership
If you are an Australian Labradoodle or Labradoodle Breeder and would like to join as an ALAA Breeder Member:
- Read the ALAA Breeder Rules, Code of Ethics and Standards
- Gather the following information:
- A photo of your breeding dog(s)
- A pedigree of your breeding dog(s) proof of breed is required and this MUST be traceable to AKC or ALAA parentage.
- If your dog was breed by an ALAA member breeder, your puppy transfer form, this is not necessary if you purchased your
breeding dog elsewhere.
- OFA and/or PennHIP testing if the breeding dog is over the age of 12 months. Please note our OFA and PennHIP testing
limits on our website under ALAA Health testing.
- Any other testing if you wish to receive a silver or gold paw reward. Please see our website under ALAA Health testing,
click on Paw Rewards for requirements. These include CERF, CBC Super Chem. and Thyroid TgAA. A Silver Paw requires one CERF on every breeding dog in addition
to the hip testing. The Gold Paw requires a CBC Super Chem and TgAA Thyroid every 18 months on every breeding dog including to all Silver and hip testing. All testing
is to be sent to dogs@ilainc.com, the dog registrar.
- You need a website OR an ALAA breeder member to sponsor you for membership. We will assign you a sponsor if you do not
know a current member.
- Under ALAA Breeder Resources click and print out
Register a Non ALAA dog...Australian Labradoodle or Labradoodle, Lab or Poodle forms
for each of your breeding dogs and fill these out in full. You must register every dog you will use to breed Australian
Labradoodles or Labradoodles including parent breeds. All your breeding dogs MUST have permanent ID such as Microchips, Tattoo's
OR DNA profiles.
- Your sales contract, the contract you use to sell pet puppies.
- Once you have the above paperwork completed for each dog and ready to go proceed.
- Click on the ALAA Membership link button on the left side of the website
- Fill in the information requested and continue through to request a kennel prefix and pay online with paypal for the kennel prefix.
- At the end of the online application you will need to fax all the completed paperwork listed above to the dog registrar
at 309-418-9916 with your name and the dogs name. Email photos or scanned paperwork to dogs@ilainc.com
- Go back to
Register a Non ALAA dog to the low portion of the page to pay for via paypal the number of dogs you have registered.
- You will receive an automatic reply with instructions, you are NOT a member yet.
- All of the above information is verified including all testing and your contract is reviewed
- A quality assurance review is preformed on your kennel by the ALAA Registrar to the above listed ALAA Breeder Rules, Code of Ethics and Standards
- You will receive letters from the ALAA registrar or dog registrar after each step is completed or if additional information is needed
- Once complete you will receive an acceptance letter with the logo's and a link on our website
- All this must be submitted within 30 days of your application or you must resubmit your application. Once your application has been processed and all forms received and accepted by the dog
registrar you are a breeder member.
- You will receive your dog registration certificates in the mail and have access to our ALAA database and receive ALAA newsletters.
