Types of ALAA Membership
- ALAA Pet Owner Membership
- For those who own spayed/neutered dogs, or purchased on a
spay/neuter contract
- Lifetime
membership is $30 for one dog, $15 for each
additional dog.
- You will receive an ALAA registration certificate for your dog and monthly newsletters filled with health care information, helpful tips, informative articles and important ALAA announcements
- ALAA Breeder Membership
- For those who
own unaltered dogs that are or will be part of a
breeding program
- Membership is
$250 for the first year, $85 annual renewal fee
- You will
receive kennel prefix approval and registration,
program listing on the Member Breeders page with a
link to your website, and monthly newsletters full
of health care information, helpful tips,
informative articles and important ALAA
announcements.
- Access to
Breeders Only webpages with many resources
- Ability to apply for the Silver or Gold Paw Reward Program

Applying for Pet Membership
If you are a Pet Owner of an Australian Labradoodle or Labradoodle and would like to join as an ALAA Pet Member, we will need the following:
- A photograph of your pet
- Puppy Transfer Form (if provided to you by an ALAA member breeder
at the time of your puppy purchase)
OR a copy of your puppy's pedigree
OR DNA proof of parentage (must only show lab and poodle). The
Puppy Transfer Form can also be found at
http://www.ilainc.com/PDF/ALAATransferApplication.pdf
- Spay/neuter certificate (if you have one) or a copy of the spay/neuter
contract between you and your breeder if your puppy is to be spayed/neutered at
a later date.
- To apply for membership, please fill out the
Online Membership Application.
- If you are joining the ALAA because you have purchased a puppy from
an ALAA breeder, you can transfer ownership of the puppy into your name during the
Online Membership Application process by entering the Ownership Transfer Key at
the bottom of the Puppy Certificate provided you by your breeder, OR you may send
in a hard copy of the Transfer of Ownership Form if you were not provided a Puppy
Certificate with an Ownership Transfer Key listed on it. When transferring ownership
using the Online Membership Application, please enter the Ownership Transfer Key
in the appropriate field. If you transfer ownership by entering an Ownership Transfer
Key using the online process, the Transfer of Ownership Form does not need to be
mailed in.
- You will be asked to pay the $30 lifetime membership fee upon completion
of the application. This may be done through the Paypal link at the bottom
of this page or a check may be sent to the Dog Registrar at the address listed below.
- Fax the paperwork listed above to the Dog Registrar at 309-418-9916.
Include your name and the dog’s name on all correspondence.
- Email your dog’s photo to dogs@ilainc.com
- Upon approval, you will receive your registration certificate in
the mail within 2-4 weeks and will have access to our ALAA database and newsletters.
Note: All documentation must be submitted within 30 days of
your application submission. If you have not provided this information within
that time, you will be required to resubmit another application.
Applying for Breeder Membership
If you are an Australian Labradoodle or Labradoodle Breeder and would like to join as an ALAA Breeder Member:
- Read the ALAA Breeder Rules, Code of Ethics and Standards
- Gather the following information:
- Photo of your
breeding dog(s)
- Pedigree of
your breeding dog(s) proof of breed is required and
this MUST be traceable to AKC, UKC, ANKC, or other
ALAA approved registries or previously approved ALAA
parentage.
- If your dog was
bred by an ALAA member breeder, you will need the
Puppy Transfer Form, this is not necessary if you
purchased your breeding dog from a non-ALAA member.
- OFA and/or PennHIP testing, if the breeding dog is over the age of 12 months. Please review the hip and elbow testing
requirements on our website.
- Copies of all other health testing if you wish to participate in the Silver or Gold Paw Reward Program. These include eye exam by certified opthamologist, Thyroid test including TgAA, and PRA testing or status via parent dog test reports. The Silver Paw requires an eye exam on every breeding dog every 18 months in addition to the hip testing. The Gold Paw requires the eye exam and Thyroid test including Tgaa every 18 months on every breeding dog, and PRA testing or copies of parent dog test for PRA. All testing is to be sent to dogs@ilainc.com, the
dog registrar.
- Website address
for your program and the name of an ALAA breeder
member who will sponsor you for membership. We will
assign you a sponsor if you do not know a current
member.
- Copy of the contract you use to sell puppies
- Once you have your information gathered, fill out the Online Membership Application Once this form is
completed, you will be asked to provide a kennel
prefix name, and this name will need to be approved
before it is registered.
- Print out a Non ALAA Dog Registration form for each of your
breeding dogs that are not already registered with the
ALAA. Fill these out completely. You must
register every dog you will use to breed Australian
Labradoodles or Labradoodles including parent breeds.
All dogs MUST have permanent ID such as Microchips,
Tattoo's OR DNA profiles.
- Make payment via
Paypal for the kennel prefix and dog registration or
transfer of each of the dogs in your program. Payment
links are provided below.
- At the end of the online application process you will need to fax all the completed paperwork listed above to the dog registrar at 309-418-9916 Please include your name and the dogs name one each fax. Email photos or scanned paperwork to dogs@ilainc.com
- You will receive an automatic reply with instructions. All of the above information is verified and reviewed, including all testing and contract information. Please allow 2-4 weeks for the processing of your information. Once all information has been verified, you will receive an acceptance letter and will be provided the ALAA logos for your use, as well as a listing on the ALAA website under the Member Breeders directory. You will also receive a registration certificate and transfer of ownership form for each dog you have registered, and will have access to our ALAA database and newsletters.
Note: All documentation must be submitted within 30 days of your application submission. If you have not provided this information within that time, you will be required to resubmit another application.
Making Payment through Paypal:
- Lifetime Registration for PET MEMBERSHIP
with the ALAA (ILA). You MUST become a Pet Member in order to transfer
ownership of a puppy into your name. Initial Pet Membership fee of $30.00
includes the transfer of one puppy into your name. Each additional puppy
transferred into your name must be accompanied by the $10.00 Ownership
Transfer fee below.

- Ownership Transfer. This is for dogs already registered with
the ALAA (ILA) but needing to be transfered into your name. If you are NOT already
a Pet Member with the ALAA, you do not need pay the $10.00 Ownership Transfer
fee, but you MUST pay the Pet Membership fee of $30.00, which includes the
transfer of one puppy/dog into your name.
