Roundtable Breeder Events

The 2011 ALAA Roundtable was held in Santa Monica, CA, at the Double Tree Hotel, October 21st through 23rd! Pat Hastings presented her seminar, "Structure in Action". It combined her’ Puppy Puzzle Presentation, as well as discussion of the value of structurally evaluating adult dogs that are being considered for a breeding program. This was a fantastic seminar with a lot of really great information for the breeder serious about understanding structure. Thank you Pat for your wonderfully presented information and for having two litters of gorgeous puppies there for us to view as you described structure.

Also, thank you to all the breeders who attended this seminar! We loved seeing you there and have enjoyed the positive feedback about the location and presentation. It was really wonderful to see breeders who have attended numerous conferences previously and to meet new breeders attending for the first time. We look forward to seeing you all again at the 2012 Roundtable!

Past Roundtable Events

October 15-17, 2010. The 2010 ALAA Roundtable was held in Atlanta, Georgia, at the beautuiful Omni Hotel at CNN Center! The conference was a huge success and was well attended just as in previous years. Jerry Hope presented his seminar,  "The Breeder's Guide to Raising Superstar Dogs". This program focuses on  helping breeders with techniques to provide an enrichin environment for puppies, and also on understanding how best to match puppies with families  

October 2009. The 2009 ALAA Roundtable was held in beautiful Seattle, Washington! This year's conference was attended by close to 60 breeders from around the U.S. and Canada. Myra Savant Harris was the guest speaker and provided us with tons of information on canine reproduction and whelping, and puppy intensive care. Myra has three wonderful books available that are packed with this same information for the novice and experienced breeder. The ALAA Board

October 3-5, 2008 The 2008 ALAA Roundtable in Austin, Texas, was a smashing success! Thanks go to all of you – the attendees, the presenters, and those who worked behind the scenes. It took all of you to make it the great experience that it was this year. We received many wonderful comments and suggestions that will help the ALAA make next year’s conference even better. All of the input is helpful, and next year’s board will try to implement as many of your suggestions as possible. Again, thank you all so much! We enjoyed meeting those of you who attended for the first time and those of you who have been to our previous conferences.

November 2-4, 2007. Second annual Roundtable held at the Renion Resort in Orlando, Florida. Over sixty breeder members attended this year's event! Thanks to all who made it a wonderful success.

November 3-5, 2006. The beautiful Reunion Resort in Orlando, Florida, was the location for the first ALAA breeder Roundtable event. Twenty-two breeder members attended from all over the country. An ALAA romp was held in conjunction with the Roundtable and took place on a 5 acre site at the gorgeous Reunion Resort. Joel Slaven, the famous animal trainer was a guest speaker. About 80 people and 35 doodles attended.
