I take great pride in being a Labradoodle breeder and owner. I have been an established breeder since 1997, breeding Labradoodles since 2001. It is my pleasure as well as an honor to work with such a great organization in the development and preservation of this wonderful breed. I have been a committee board member on the Paws Reward/Heath Testing team since 2005 and on the Infusion Team since 2008. I have enjoyed watching this organization grow, as well as the breed develop over the years. I am one of the original breeders here on the west coast. I have bred both American and Australian lines in the past but am focused on just Australian now. I am a part time Dental Hygienist as well as a wife to my fantastic husband Mike and mother to 5 amazing kids Christina, Ana, Grant, Cole, and Reagan. We enjoy all of what dog breeding brings to our family. I often get asked "how I started breeding dogs" and its simple, I have always loved animals. I was the little girl that rescued every stray animal I ever came across. There is nothing like puppy breath and the unconditional love of these amazing dogs. We live in Bakersfield CA. Which is centrally located between Los Angles and San Fransisco. Information on her and her program can be found at Hale's Labradoodles.

Kim Kochman, Vice President

Kelly Lorton, Secretary

Records all meetings and correspondence via electronic files, handles all online votes and agendas for meetings as required by the ALAA regulations. The Secretary is required to take on at least two additional initiatives.

I first fell in love with Labradoodles in 2005 when my family welcomed our first puppy into our home. I became a Member Breeder in 2008 when the first litter was born here at Orchard View Labradoodles. I love everything about breeding including the friends I’ve made and the ongoing relationships I have with my clients.
I have been married for 15 years to my husband and we have four beautiful children ages 11-18. We reside in central Washington surrounded by orchards and vineyards on two acres outside of Zillah. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 14 years with a few years of that time spent working at a small private school as a teaching assistant and School Board member. I’ve assisted my husband in his contracting business for the past 11 years by handling bookkeeping, payroll and various office duties.
I am proud to be the ALAA Secretary and I’m excited about what the future holds for the Labradoodle and Australian Labradoodle, as well as the ALAA and its membership. Information on her and her program can be found at Orchard View Labradoodles.

Butch Charlton, Registrar & Treasurer

Current selected assignment, Annual Budget Planner. The ALAA Treasurer maintains the ALAA not for profit association books, monthly financials and budget.

Butch Charlton has been involved since 2001 when he purchased his first Labradoodle from Australia. Within six months he found himself on a flight to Australia to really investigate the breed.

Since then he started his kennel, retired from the high tech world where he was a Chief Technology Officer for a major telecom corporation, worked on his golf game and concentrated on breeding quality Labradoodles. He is the proud owner of eight Labradoodles and truly loves being involved with the advancement of the breed in N. America. Information on him and his program can be found at Down Under Labradoodles.

Rochelle Sundholm, Information Technology Manager/Officer

Current selected assignments: Global Website/IT Manager.

I reside in Oregon and live on 6 acres of beautiful country property just outside the small town of Pleasant Hill.  I am mother to four wonderful children ranging in age from 10-19 years old. The other Sundholm family members include a Morgan horse, three cats, 14 chickens, a couple of the labradoodle dogs in my breeding program, and a host of wild critters that abound on our property.

My experience with animals includes working with and finding homes for rescue dogs, working for Willamette Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation and pursuing veterinary medicine in college.  My lifelong love of animals was a stepping stone to my fascination with the development of a new breed when I discovered Labradoodles.  I began my labradoodle breeding program in 2001, and since then have worked both with Labradoodles and Goldendoodles with a focus on producing dogs with the temperament for therapy and guide dog work. I was the first labradoodle and goldendoodle breeder on the west coast, and one of the first in the U.S.  More information about my program is found at Spring Creek Labradoodles.
