Dixie Moore, President

Handles ALAA daily issues as President, working with and supporting the ALAA Governing Board and corresponding with ALAA breeders via bi monthly emails. The ALAA President works with the ALAA legal counsel and business council. The president writes and develops initiatives for the ALAA by organizing a team of ALAA members to address issues of concern within the ALAA guided by the governing board goals and objectives, and regulations. The ALAA president is responsible to ensure the board and members follow the corporate rules and regulations of the ALAA, the ALAA charter, goals and objectives. The ALAA president is required to take on at least one additional initiative.

A native Texan, Dixie resides in Central Texas near Austin. She has two daughters, Joel and Jessica, and a grandson, Dakota, age 8. Both girls attend college and help out with Doodle-sitting when needed. In her life before Labradoodles, Dixie worked as a Project Manager at Dell Computer.

Dixie has been a dog lover all of her life. When she discovered Labradoodles several years ago, she was immediately smitten. She has been a board member of the ALAA since April of 2004, and has met many wonderful new friends whose hearts have been captured by these very special furry creatures. Information on her and her program can be found at Dixie Doodles.

Rochelle Sundholm, Vice President

Rochelle's experience with animals includes working with and finding homes for rescue dogs, working for Willamette Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation and pursuing veterinary medicine in college.  This lifelong love of animals was a stepping stone to her fascination with the development of a new breed.  She began her breeding program in 2001, and since then has worked both with Labradoodles and Goldendoodles with a focus on producing dogs with the temperament for therapy and guide dog work. She has dogs working in many different therapy venues, but her main focus is working with Guide Dogs of America.  More information about her program is found at Spring Creek Labradoodles.
