Australian Labradoodle Association of America, (ALAA)

ALAA Member breeders (those with a kennel prefix) need to register all Labradoodle litters with the ALAA. Litters must be registered within 90 days of whelping, or a late registration fee will be applied each month after the initial 90 days. The following are the steps to registering your litter.

  1. Complete the Litter Registration form by printing out and filling in manually, or register your litter online after signing in on the ALAA Dog Registry page of the website. You must already be a member to use the online registration process. If manually filling out a form, you may mail or fax to the Dog Registrar listed at the bottom of this page. Litter registrations require information on the stud and bitch. Please carefully review the following information to know exactly what you must submit with your registration form:
    • If both dogs are already registered with the ALAA, you will need the registration numbers of both dogs, date of whelping, and signature of the stud owner on the Litter Registration form if stud was not owned by dam owner.
    • If the stud dog is not registered with the ALAA, the breeder must additionally provide the ALAA with the stud’s pedigree, a photo, medical test results, and a completed Stud Dog Certificate. This may be submitted before the litter registration along with the associated fee, or at the time you register your litter.
    • If you are a stud dog owner and your stud has mated with a non-ALAA bitch, you will need to fill out the application to Record a litter with a non-ALAA Registered Dam form. This should be faxed to the Dog Registrar.
(Before your litter is born, familiarize yourself with the information requested on each form. Be sure your puppies are tattooed or microchipped – this is mandatory before you may submit your litter registration.)
  2. You must name each puppy to register them. If you do not have a name, use the dam or sire name followed by the whelp date without a "/" and use an "a, b, c..." after the whelp date. For example: Lilly51106a, Lilly51106b. As new puppy owners send in their transfer of ownership form and become members, they may change the puppy's registered name if allowed under your contract.
  3. Your litter registration will be processed and mailed back to you as soon as possible. Please allow up to two weeks for delivery. After registering your litter, you will receive the following in the mail:
    • Certificate of Litter registration containing all pertinent information about the litter and each individual puppy.
    • Individual Dog Registration certificates for each puppy to be given to the new owners. (These are not pedigree certificates.)
  4. When the new puppy owner joins the ALAA, they will need to send the registration certificate, the transfer of ownership fee (paid by check or PayPal), and an e-mailed photo to the ILA registrar at registrar@ilainc.com. Please encourage your new puppy owners to become members of the ALAA.
  5. The new puppy owner will receive a Certificate of Registration indicating the new owner name with pedigree and photo, as well as a Transfer of Ownership form.

NO REFUND POLICY - Please be aware that the ALAA has a no refund policy on all monies paid to the association including; membership, kennel fees, registration, or other fees.
